I and several other folks from the Chinese law world will be testifying tomorrow (May 4th) before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. The theme of the hearing is spelled out in the title; my particular testimony will be a summary of my just-published article, “Judging China: The Chinese Legal System in U.S. Courts,” in which I examine how U.S. courts assess the Chinese legal issue when it comes up in litigation (typically in forum non conveniens or judgment-enforcement cases). Mark Cohen has a bit more on the hearing here.
The livestream (starting 9:30 a.m. EDT) and further links are available at the USCC website here.
