Rights lawyer Li Jinxing (李金星) has been disbarred — for the usual absurd reasons. Here’s the statement made in his defense (try here if unavailable at the link) during the disbarment hearings by He Haibo, a distinguished professor at Tsinghua University Faculty of Law. It’s a great statement, but was of course doomed to uselessness. Sorry that it’s only in Chinese; I don’t have time to translate it.
